Carly Fiorina Signs Americans For Tax Reform “Taxpayer Protection Pledge”

Orange County, CA – Immediately following the announcement of her candidacy to represent California as its next U.S. Senator, Carly Fiorina today signed the Americans For Tax Reform “Taxpayer Protection Pledge.” Fiorina is a fiscal conservative who has made job creation, economic growth and fiscal accountability her top campaign priorities.
“I am proud to have signed the Americans for Tax Reform Taxpayer Protection Pledge today as one of my first acts as a candidate for the United States Senate. As a fiscal conservative, it was a no brainer for me. I will not vote for new or higher taxes. Period,” said Fiorina. “Tax, spend and borrow is not a governing philosophy, it’s a cycle of dependency and it’s one that must be broken. The irresponsible, massive borrowing must stop. Our government must live within its means; it’s that simple, that obvious. With me in the Senate, taxpayers will know they have one more vote on their side.”
The pledge states that as a member of the U.S. Senate, Carly will “oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses; and oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.” Click here to view a PDF of Carly’s pledge.
