Sacramento, CA – U.S. Senate Candidate Carly Fiorina today issued the following statement regarding the news today that California lost 10,200 payroll jobs in November:
“Today we learned that California lost 10,200 more jobs in November. This disheartening number underscores the need for a renewed focus on giving small businesses, the real job creators in our economy, the tools to survive and grow. There are several proven and effective ways to encourage job growth: reducing the regulatory burden businesses face as they try to expand or open their doors, lowering the tax burden and increasing access to capital. Unfortunately we are seeing the exact opposite out of Washington, D.C.
“Whether in the debates about health care reform, water delivery or climate change, again and again, we see Barbara Boxer champion big-government policies that will increase taxes on small business owners and the middle class, increase government mandates and regulation, and continue to add to our ballooning national debt. As a U.S. Senator, jumpstarting California’s economy and putting Californians back to work will be my top priority. And, unlike Senator Boxer, I will put the needs of my fellow Californians ahead of the special interests so that we can get our golden state’s economy moving again.”
