LOS ANGELES, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today led a roundtable discussion with students at the University of Southern California to discuss the issues most affecting their lives, their families and their communities.
“Today’s discussion provided a terrific opportunity to hear directly from students about the most pressing challenges facing their families and communities today and their concerns about the future. These students are the leaders of tomorrow, and it’s critically important that we engage them in the political process now and work with them to build a brighter future for our state and our nation,” said Fiorina. “Unfortunately, Democrats like Barbara Boxer have pushed policies that will saddle these students with not only higher taxes and less opportunity, but also more debt obligation. It’s clearly time to send someone to Washington who will represent the interests of not only this generation, but also our children and grandchildren; that would be my focus as California’s U.S. Senator.”
Earlier this week, Fiorina announced her grassroots leadership team, including Megan Rodriguez as chair of Students for Carly. With the support of these dedicated Californians, Fiorina will continue to travel around the state to discuss her campaign priorities: job creation, economic development and controlling federal spending. Since announcing her candidacy in November, Fiorina has already visited communities across the state to discuss her priorities for California, including stops in San Diego, Modesto, Salinas and San Luis Obispo.
