SACRAMENTO, CA – U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina today issued a video response to President Obama’s State of the Union address.
The video may be accessed here.
Remarks as delivered:
Since the first day of my campaign, I’ve been talking about creating more jobs and cutting federal spending. These are the issues Californians care about. While I welcome the President’s new focus on jobs, I’m disappointed that we didn’t hear any real solutions presented tonight.
More government programs, commissions and spending aren’t the way to create jobs. Only innovators, entrepreneurs and small business owners can create jobs. Unfortunately, what we hear from the President and Barbara Boxer is more of the same failed proposals that have led our nation deeply into debt, spent billions of taxpayer dollars and done little to create new jobs. For 18 years, Barbara Boxer has voted for more government spending, higher taxes and policies that have killed jobs.
The good news is we have the opportunity to turn things around by electing true fiscal conservatives with real-world experience to replace the career politicians in Washington. Together we can fix this mess.
